How to understand your phone bill
0:01 Hey everyone, my name is Daniel from Financial Literacy Australia and today we're just going to be going through what up for invillies and some key identifying things on the build.
0:12 This is a generic build of the Toaster website. Sorry, I apologize for the um the quality of it. So it's a liquid pixelated.
0:21 But at the top here, so we'll start with the name. So here on the top left, we've got your name.
0:27 So that will be Mr Sam sample. So that will say your name, your address. Your suburb, your state, and your price code.
0:35 So down here, we've got your billing period. So that's the period where the bill is active for. So it's from the 18th of March to the 17th of April.
0:46 Underneath that, that's the date the bill was issued. So it's usually issued a few days after the billing period. Up the top here, we've got some additional information.
0:57 So your previous bill amount. So you can see here the previous bill was $177.23. sense. And under it is the payment that was made.
1:08 So it was $177.23 was made after that. So under here we've got two little lines. So I've got the internet for $95 and your mobile plan.
1:21 So you can see here your mobile that's $95 that represents a monthly amount and same with your mobile here. So if we add those two amounts together the $95 and the $76 it equals $170.
1:37 So that means that that's what we have to pay for our phone plan. So the left here you can see that we've got a total due amount.
1:45 So that means that the due date is on the 9th of May 2022. Underneath that it says thank you. Using direct debit will debit your nominated account on the May 9th 22.
1:59 So that means when it comes the 9th of May that amount is going to be directly tempted from your account because this is the way that the person set it up.
2:07 So there's a few other ways you can pay your bills. So you can go into your Telstra store, you can pay it online and there's a few other ways as one of us suits you the easiest as well.
