What our mentors can and can't help with

0:11 So the mentoring program, um, it's a one-on-one virtual program. That we can actually sit each participant down and go through some queries
0:24 Now the things we can help with is um helping with your budget so we can actually go and if you provide the information so um um say your income expenses we can go through that with you um and develop um a bunch of plans based of the information you provide us.
0:43 We can go through um some processes like paying bills so we can help you through the process of that.
0:51 a lot of other personalised things so say if you're having trouble with things um such as your electricity we can teach you that.
1:01 There's a lot of yeah educational stuff we can go. Through and obviously depends on the individual as well. the things we can't help with so we can't give any financial advice.
1:13 We can't tell you what what's good or bad. That's just because of the um current legislation that's out of the moment.
1:21 it's actually restricting us from providing that to you without a financial credit license as we are a financial education provider.
1:40 We can't help with financial hardship. Although I'm a qualified financial counsellor. I can't actually assist with the financial counselling.
1:51 Financial literacy Australian is designed to prevent people from entering financial hardship. However we can refer people to financial counsellors and other government organisations if required to.
